Billy pulled on a clean tshirt. He had a roommate again. He shouldn't have left his stuff scattered all over the living area, but he hadn't really cared much about keeping the place clean the last few days.

He hadn't really cared much about anything, really. Yeah, it was nice to be back to the right time again, but he'd spent all of today staring at a basket of laundry morosely.

He shouldn't have told her.

He sighed and opened the door, stepping into the living area.

"Uh, hello?" he called. "Sheldon?"

Billy's brow furrowed. "Leonard? Penny never mentioned a Leonard."

"She works with the homeless a lot, for the Caring Hands shelter. And with Animals Are People Too."

He got to his feet. "I have a picture," he said. He went to his room and came back out holding a frame picture of himself and Penny. He stared at it as he walked, the familiar ache in his chest returning.

"That's her," he sighed, holding it out to Sheldon.

Billy glared at him. Again with the rudeness. He'd say something but it was becoming clearer to him that it was just how he acted. And as far as he could tell, there was no malice behind it. Just a massive lack of tact.

"The name is fine," he said, tersely. "She ... She was just shocked by it. Upset," he added. He hated that he'd made her cry.

"I just thought - I thought I should tell her. Because if I didn't tell her and she found out some other way it'd have been worse. Maybe I should have told her sooner? But then she wouldn't have gone out with me at all."

He sighed heavily. Maybe that would have been better. He wouldn't know exactly what he was missing.

Billy nodded. "It's a really odd place," he said. He had no idea what the dancing thing meant, and he had a feeling the explanation would be even more baffling, so he let it go.

"Until a week ago, it was the 18th century here," he said. "Woke up one morning in a colonial village. It lasted about a month and then it reverted back to this place," he said, looking around.
