Brooke walked down the street, on the way to her second store. She needed to buy some thread, buttons, and fabric.

Sewing was keeping her sane. She was gonna wear what she felt comfortable in, and she didn't give a damn if people whispered about her. Or even said outright that she was a 'harlot.' She was also not married to the man she was living with and having his baby, but everyone seemed to assume she was, and she didn't say anything to contradict that.

She wandered through the marketplace, heading towards the food section.

Lena had sold a few of her drawings, at least that was paying for her clothes and of course food for the house that she was now sharing with her roommate. She needed to get some food supplies such as bread and meat so she went into the marketplace and found the meat section. She didn't know what to get. So when she ordered her meat and paid it she went on her way.

She then headed into the direction of the vegetables. She picked out some carrots and cabbage and she backed up and didn't know where she was going and accidentally bumped into somebody. She then almost fell and dropped her well, groceries so to speak. "I'm so sorry. These clothes kind of make it hard to not bump into anything." She started to laugh.

	Brooke smiled at her, tightening her grip on the basket she'd almost let fall. "It's okay," she said. She laughed softly. "Yeah, I'd bet," she said. She pointed to her own clothes. "I tried 'em for a day and that was enough," she said. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	She looked at this woman and was glad that she wasn't mad at her. Or at least thinking that she wasn't mad at her. She started laughing nervously. "Yeah. These things are really uncomfortable." 	She smiled. "Hell yeah." "I make them for other people, too," she said. "As you can see, they're not fancy, but they are comfortable. I can make them out of the bazillion layers of fabric in one of those dresses." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Laughing at that statement. "That's actually really great."

She then looked at herself and wished that she could wear something more comfortable. "Say how much do you charge? I'd be happy to pay you to turn this ball of fluff into something umm non fluffy." She giggled nervously. "My drawings have been selling pretty well, so I can afford it." She smiled at her. "I wouldn't mind a nice summer like dress."

	Brooke grinned. "Thank you. I did okay," she said, with a little shrug. Right now, being the CEO of a major fashion line seemed so far away, she could hardly believe she was the same person. "Thanks," Brooke said, taking the coin. She was really happy, they really did need every penny. Or, odd gold coin thing. "Nice to meet you, Lena," she said. "I'm Brooke." "Its certainly better than I would have done anything. If I would have even attempted to do anything like that I probably would be in shreds." She started to laugh. "Drawing and painting is more of what I do."

"Hey its not a problem. I would do anything to get out of this thing. I keep falling everywhere, and plus I run into things too easily. As you could probably already tell." She said nervously.

"Its nice to meet you too Brooke. So ummm what day and time should I bring my big old dress in? If your busy it doesn't have to be right away. I'm a very patient person."

"Yeah, that's not my strong point. I had to learn to sketch designs, but I can't paint or anything. My best friend back home paints, though."

"Well they are huge," she said. "I have no idea how people actually got through all of the work that they had to do every day while wearing these."

"Any time, I'm at home most of the time. Um, cabin 301C," she said. "If I'm not there, my boyfriend Lucas probably will be."

	"Yeah I love to draw. I even studied at a really good art school in Rhode Island." She smiled. "Yeah they are." She looked at herself. "They look like a giant ball of fluff and I agree people can not possibly go through this time era wearing this stuff and liking it." She then nodded her head. "Okay. 	"That's great," Brooke said. "Don't you miss dishwashers? Microwaves? Proper stoves? Oh, washers and dryers!" she said, longingly. She spent most of the time missing hospitals and doctors that she never really focused on the smaller things from her old life. She did miss them, though. "That sounds great," she said. "Uh yeah. I mean washing everything by hand makes my hands dry and cracked. And then of course microwaves, you can't even reheat anything in this time era. But what I really miss is a hospital. I mean we all need suitable healthcare and these people sure didn't have any."

"Okay. I'll stop by then. You know its great that you and your boyfriend are here together. Mine is still in the world that I left behind. I really miss him, and then all of my best friends as well. You are very lucky."

"Wow. Congratulations on the baby. But I'm sorry about your boyfriends heart condition. Yeah this place seems like it doesn't have the good healthcare that you two deserve."

"That's amazing, I mean that this place could bring you guys back together. It will be a good story for your child. I had just gotten back together with Kostas when I was brought here. I actually wish that he was here now, but it probably won't happen, unless a miracle were to occur or something."

She smiled back at her. "Your very welcome. Just tell your boyfriend to relax and enjoy everything. I don't know any medical stuff, as you can probably tell." She laughed.

"Oh hey its alright. I want him to show up here, I see all these people with their friends and loved ones and it just makes me think of him and my 3 very best friends." She shrugged. "I guess I'll just have to wish it and maybe it will come true." She then sighed.

"Oh on a happy note. Ummm I'm having a little party at my cabin so to speak for me to get to know some people. If you want to or if you are up to it, you and your boyfriend are more than welcome to come. Lots of food and conversation."

	"Yeah I definitely will." She smiled. She saw her yawning and then she looked over and figured that she should probably get dinner together for her and her roommate. "Yeah and I better get dinner started. But it was really nice to meet you and yep, I'll see you tomorrow. And thanks again!" She smiled as she started walking towards her cabin.
