Brooke laced up her rental skates, stealing the occasional glance at Lucas as she did.

She was so ridiculously happy she was starting to get a little worried. She wasn't used to this, hadn't felt this happy in a long time.

But she wasn't going to complain.

She finished and shoved her shoes in her backpack.

"Ready," she announced, looking up at Lucas.

"Oh you do huh?" he asked, grinning at her.

He still found it hard to believe that they were together again. He was having a lot of fun being with Brooke but unlike the first time, he wanted more than just fun. He wanted them to work out.

"Maybe," she said, coyly.

She was feeling much more confident as she skated, but she didn't really want to let go of his hands.

She bit her lip.

"If I say I am, will you let go of my hands?" she asked.

"I won't if you don't want me to," he said, smiling warmly at her.

He leaned in and pressed a kiss to her cheek.

She grinned, eyes drifting closed when he kissed her cheek.

She moved her head and pressed a kiss to his lips, a slow lingering kiss.

She let go of one of his hands, sliding her fingers securely through the other, so they could skate side by side.

He kissed her back softly.

He smiled at her as they staked side by side.
