Lucas had bought a new basketball after work on Monday. The snow meant he couldn't play but he saw it and figured he should get it so he could play when it cleared up.

He held the ball under his right arm and walked back toward Building C.

He wondered for a moment if there was a basketball court in Colligo. He'd have to check that out sometime. He could bring Brooke along maybe. He smiled at the thought of that.

He was wrapped up in his own little world and didn't notice at first the person that was approaching him.

He stopped just in time that he didn't run into them.

"Sorry," he said.
