WHO: Dean Winchester and God
WHAT: Meeting, talking, and eating pie.
WHEN: Not long after this.
WHERE: The Pie Hole
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress
God took her time getting to her meeting with Dean. As was per usual, she had several reasons for this. The first was the fact that she was quite enjoying her walk in the snow and saw no reason to hurry along. The second - and perhaps even more important than what she wanted - was the fact that she was waiting for Dean to get there first. After all, it wouldn't be very good if she were to arrive before him. Meetings that involved making the Lord wait tended to not end very well. Oftentimes she wound up in a cranky mood as a result.
So she meandered along. Helped a gentleman with some packages he'd dropped. Watched from a street corner as a pair of children crossed the increasingly dangerous traffic. She even took the long way from the apartment she was staying in, to the place she was meant to meet one of her chosen ones.
And finally, when she knew Dean was there and settled, God made her appearance.
There wasn't any fanfare to go with her arrival, of course. Instead she simply stepped inside, flakes of snow falling silently from the edges of her long, flowing skirt as she wiped her flip-flop covered feet on the welcome mat at the front door. She received an odd look or two from those who noticed that she was, indeed, wearing summer shoes in what was obvious winter weather, but she simply smiled at them benignly before her gaze landed across the restaurant on the man she was there to meet. With a waggle of her fingers in his direction, God made her way toward him - although not before reaching out to steady a plate that was about to fall from a nearby table courtesy of a rambunctious child.
The mother murmured her thanks and God simply smiled and gave a nod in response, patting the child lovingly on top of the head as she went by. She was fairly certain only the mother, and maybe Dean, would realize that the little boy had quite suddenly settled down. And she was equally certain that only Dean - were he to notice the change in the boy's behavior - would know the reason as to why.
