"True enough," Ianto said with a smile, pleased by how well Jack knew him. He felt like they had made real progress in their relationship, and they were communicating better than they had before arriving in Colligo. They certainly weren't without their problems, but they had definitely grown as a couple. He almost laughed, thinking of how much they had both hated that word.
"If I left the jeans off," he said with a roll of his eyes at Jack's oh so helpful suggestion, "we would never leave the bedroom. And, while that is a rather pleasant prospect, some of us have to do other things now and again." He grinned, amused by the easy banter and already feeling the stresses from his day fade away in the face of the familiarity and comfort of home.
"I do like it when you mouth off," Ianto said fondly, content just to be close to Jack, kissing him. Of course, the suggestion of a date surprised him but made him smile. It had been a while since they'd really had a date. "I'd like that, a lot." As if he would say no to the offer of a date with Jack. He smiled suddenly. "But you know...a date doesn't actually have to mean going out. We could go pick up a film and dinner and bring it back here. That way, if the film is boring, we don't have to worry about getting into trouble." And they could make sure to pick a boring film.
