WHO: Leverage Team (Nate Ford, Sophie Devereaux, Eliot Spencer, and Parker), Claude Rains, Noah Bennet, Peter Petrelli, and Mark Davidson [NPC!bank manager]
WHAT: The Bank Heist Job
WHEN: Early morning - around 9AM
WHERE: The First National Bank of Colligo
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress
NOTES: Given the size, and intricacy, of this scene, it's going to be done in sub-threads as various characters are needed at various places within the scene, at different times.

The sun rose in a clear blue sky, the start of a new day. New opportunities. And, for a handful of the displaced people in the city of Colligo, a new con.

The plan was simple enough, in a very Nate sort of way. Everyone knew their roles and everyone present was professional enough not to deviate from them unless necessary. The paperwork announcing Parker as the new bank teller and Eliot as the new security guard were in order and being gripped firmly in Mark Davidson's shaking hand as he stared at the picture of the guard. The fact that it was the same thug from before - the one whose boss wanted his money back and wanted it now - told him that something was amiss. His time was running short, if not up. He had to get that money, and fast.

Quickly, his gaze flickered to the blond bank teller's picture. She didn't look familiar. She could just be a new transfer from another branch. Or possibly one of the temps he'd hired at random a week before. Or she could be a plant just like the guard. Anything was feasible when dealing with these sorts of lowlifes, Mark was sure. And as he wiped his hand across his sweaty brow, he knew that no matter what, putting this off anymore simply wasn't an option. He needed cash. He needed it fast. His gaze strayed toward the vault of the very bank he was entrusted to run.

Just like that, the mark was in place. The trap was set. Now it was time for the game to begin, with the Leverage team doing what they did best - and this time, with a few new people in their midst. And as the clock at the church down the street began to chime nine times, signaling the start of a new day of banking, one by one they began to arrive with the manager none the wiser of what lay ahead, for both him, and his bank.

Once Parker had been relieved of her duties as a teller and had exited the bank, she'd promptly made her way around the corner and to the small alley on the backside of the building. Making sure the coast was clear, she hauled herself up on a small, narrow ledge that was directly in front of the air duct that led to the interior. She had already unscrewed the vent early that morning - long before the manager had even come to work - and made quick work of pulling it off and slipping inside the narrow space.

With her exit appearing sealed from the outside but able to fall away should she push it from within, the professional thief next half-slid and half-crawled through the duct to her destination: the vault.

"You know," she spoke softly, even though she knew no one beyond those wearing the earpieces would be capable of hearing her, "whoever built this thing was just begging for it to be robbed. Who puts an easy escape route from an alley into a vault?" She snorted. "Idiots."

Granted, the area was far from easy for most, but for Parker it was just another day on the job. She had a knack for things like this. It was part of the reason she was the best at what she did.

"Okay, I'm here." She paused as she reached the vent within the vault that she'd already unscrewed when she'd gone in to retrieve Nate's money earlier. Not seeing anyone, and with the door to the vault still firmly shut, she wasted no time in pushing the grating away. It hung from one hinge, not quite touching the ground so as not to make any noise. Then she slid out, headfirst, until her palms were flat against the ground.

The rest of her body soon followed and, in one seamless motion, Parker did a headstand and then flipped her legs over into a back-bend. Straightening up, she glanced around for any sign of Claude.

The problem with Claude was that after years of the thought pattern that any sign that he was still around would end in his death he didn't leave that many tracks of his presence. So as he quietly watched Parker drop into the vault and look around for him, Claude grinned in a vague amusement. It was too bad that they couldn't waste any time fooling around. Shimmering into view, Claude inclined his head towards her in amusement as he glanced back up at the vault.

"I don't think anyone that isn't half sprite would find anything about that easy," Claude said as he grinned at Parker, clapping his hands together as he cast a glance around the vault and the various bags that had been lined up to load out. There were a lot of things stored in here, a lot of temptation for a petty thief like himself, but they had a job to do, and there had been no time to dally.

"So, heave and ho?" Claude asked, smirking as he lifted up one of the bags.

Parker couldn't help but smile when Claude appeared. His ability really was far too awesome for her to even properly put into words. In fact, it was one of the few things that Parker actually envied about someone else. Yes she was the best at what she did, and part of that included being able to essentially 'disappear' from an area at a moment's notice. However, Claude could actually disappear. It really was too amazing for words.

"But it's easy," she only half-argued, more simply to reply than any other reason. She knew that most probably wouldn't find sliding through an air duct, on their stomachs, all that simple. Nor half of the other things she could do. But still. It wasn't as though they couldn't learn.

"Sounds like a plan," she agreed, nodding toward the space she'd just come from. "Start sticking them up there. I'll get this last bit bagged up." Her gaze couldn't help but flicker to the other items present in the vault - especially the locked security boxes containing various items from the bank customers. All stored away for safe-keeping. All unknown items, but likely worth some value. All here. For the taking.

Focus! The thought made her blink and she moved almost on autopilot to the last set of bags and piles of cash. "You know what I don't get?" she mused as she opened one of the bags and began tossing in stacks of bills. "Why didn't this guy just rob the bank to start with? Why embezzle slowly? At least if he'd done it all at once, he could live it up before the cops caught him. This way, he just... paid a couple of extra bills and gets to spend the next twenty to life doing hard time because he wanted satellite instead of cable."

She snorted. "People." Then she paused, frowning a bit as she glanced down at the $500 worth of ten dollar bills that she held. The band around it clearly said $500, at least. Tossing it lightly from palm to palm, Parker tilted her head to the side. She held the stack up to her ear and, using her thumb, fanned the bills so she could hear them.

"Huh," she commented, glancing back to Claude. "This one's thirty dollars short."
