WHO: Leverage Team (Nate Ford, Sophie Devereaux, Eliot Spencer, and Parker), Claude Rains, Noah Bennet, Peter Petrelli, and Mark Davidson [NPC!bank manager]
WHAT: The Bank Heist Job
WHEN: Early morning - around 9AM
WHERE: The First National Bank of Colligo
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress
NOTES: Given the size, and intricacy, of this scene, it's going to be done in sub-threads as various characters are needed at various places within the scene, at different times.

The sun rose in a clear blue sky, the start of a new day. New opportunities. And, for a handful of the displaced people in the city of Colligo, a new con.

The plan was simple enough, in a very Nate sort of way. Everyone knew their roles and everyone present was professional enough not to deviate from them unless necessary. The paperwork announcing Parker as the new bank teller and Eliot as the new security guard were in order and being gripped firmly in Mark Davidson's shaking hand as he stared at the picture of the guard. The fact that it was the same thug from before - the one whose boss wanted his money back and wanted it now - told him that something was amiss. His time was running short, if not up. He had to get that money, and fast.

Quickly, his gaze flickered to the blond bank teller's picture. She didn't look familiar. She could just be a new transfer from another branch. Or possibly one of the temps he'd hired at random a week before. Or she could be a plant just like the guard. Anything was feasible when dealing with these sorts of lowlifes, Mark was sure. And as he wiped his hand across his sweaty brow, he knew that no matter what, putting this off anymore simply wasn't an option. He needed cash. He needed it fast. His gaze strayed toward the vault of the very bank he was entrusted to run.

Just like that, the mark was in place. The trap was set. Now it was time for the game to begin, with the Leverage team doing what they did best - and this time, with a few new people in their midst. And as the clock at the church down the street began to chime nine times, signaling the start of a new day of banking, one by one they began to arrive with the manager none the wiser of what lay ahead, for both him, and his bank.

Parker's outfit made her itch. It was expensive, and nice, and looked like something someone who worked in an office would wear. She looked like someone who worked in an office. Professional and proper, which was great. That was the part she was playing. Professional bank teller Katherine... something or other. She wasn't sure, but didn't really care. She knew her first name. That was what mattered.

Straightening down the front of her blouse as she stood just around the corner from the bank, she went over in her mind the role she'd been assigned. Go in, be a teller, wait on Nate-the-customer, open the vault, get yelled at, cry, then clear the vault out of everything inside. It seemed easy enough, she had already decided. Except for the crying part. She was still unsure if she could pull that off.

But Noah seemed to think she could. And Nate wouldn't have suggested it if he didn't think she could, too. And considering they were the two most influential men in her life, whose opinions actually mattered to her, she supposed she could, too.

Slipping the small earpiece that wasn't like Hardison's but was still enough like it (and in some ways better, she had to admit) into her ear, she cleared her throat softly and then spoke in little above a murmur.

"Okay, I'm going in." As she spoke, she reminded herself that she could do this. As she rounded the corner and stepped into the bank, she told herself that she could be Katherine... whoever she was, for however long it took to get this done. And as she smiled at the woman who greeted her and was shown to her assigned window, she assured herself that she could play the part, and steal the money, and help the people of this city.

She just really wished her outfit didn't make her itch.

The bank manager hadn't cried but he'd come pretty damn close to it. After a few rounds of threats and intimidation between him and Bennet, Mark Davidson had become very talkative. Guys like him, they were all arrogance until the right amount of pressure was put on them. Then they gave up anything they thought would save their ass.

By now, Davidson had probably seen the new personnel files and realized he wasn't done yet. He just needed to make sure that pressure stayed on, they provided the needed distraction, and everything got loaded. By the time they were done, the bank manager wouldn't know what had hit him and the people who he'd denied would get what they needed.

As he reached up to adjust the earpiece, he caught Parker talking and glanced down the street. He'd give her a few minutes to get in and get familiar before he headed in. He glanced down at his watch and pushed away from the wall, heading down the street. "Getting in place," he said quietly, knowing the earpiece would pick it up.

Once inside the bank, he met up with the other guards on duty and went through the introductions. After getting a rundown of his duties, he took up his position, ready and waiting.

Claude was already in place. He had been pretty much since everyone had arrived. After all, he didn't need to make any sort of excuses or use any sort of cover. A few seconds to fade into his ability, and Claude was strolling without any issues whatsoever into the bank building and taking up his position next to the vault without anyone taking a second glance at him. Or even a first one, for that matter.

Arms crossed over his chest, Claude tilted his head back against the wall, resting it there for a moment until his eyes settled upon the fine cracks running through the ceiling. Ugh. One good quake, and this place could come right down on their heads. Snapping his eyes back up to attentively circle through the room, Claude watched as everyone slipped into place.

From this point forward, all he had to do was wait. After all, his part was pretty damn simple.

Sophie was sitting in her car, watching the bank and waiting for her part of the con, having dropped the photos and the rest off at the manager's mailbox on the way. Her location served the double purpose of easy entrance into the scene, and making Davidson more nervous. Every so often, she would take out her mobile and pretend to be making a call, glancing over at the bank as she did. She enjoyed these subtleties almost as much as actually interacting with a mark.

Meanwhile, at their makeshift headquarters, Noah and Peter were keeping an eye on things. Peter was ready to step in if he needed to mess with any technology, and Noah was just monitoring the situation, calm as ever. He didn't really have any concerns about this. It was well planned, and he and Peter were ready if they needed to assist. Peter, on the other hand, was wondering what the hell he'd gotten himself into. He was never giving Claude a hand with anything ever again.
