Who: Noah Bennet, Eliot Spencer, Mark Davidson (NPC)
What: The second part of the job.
Where: Hotel room
When: Just after this.
Rating: PG-13
Status: Incomplete

It was just like old times. The only difference was the inescapable city and a few new team members. The first job after they'd gone their separate ways and Eliot wasn't surprised to find out that he'd missed it. As it turned out, the trust he'd developed with this team had made them the closest thing he'd had to a family outside of blood. He'd never admit it out loud but it'd been hard to drive out of that hangar and go on like the last few months had never happened. Now they were back together, with the exception of Hardison, and it felt right.

He'd been a little leary of bringing on new people but they had Parker vouching for them and from the initial planning, seemed to be willing to work with them. His role was simple enough for this round. Wait for Sophie to bring the mark to the door, worked up and on edge, and then between him and Noah, get what incriminating information they could out him. Unless Mark Davidson had training to withstand interrogation, they'd get what they needed out of him without too much of a problem.

Once Sophie had done her part, Eliot let the bank manager wait nervously outside for a few minutes, letting his apprehension up a few notches. After checking his watch and looking back at Noah, he pulled open the door. Davidson stood in the doorway, trying to look cool with the situation he was in and failing. His fingers kept returning to his tie, straightening it over and over. Eliot beckoned for him to come in, shutting the door behind him.

Davidson flinched but did a better job of composing himself this time around, dropping his arms to his sides. Eliot did a quick search, not expecting to find any weapons but adding Davidson's wait. "I'm Mark Davidson," he said finally, once Eliot had backed off. "I was told that you were expecting to see me."

Eliot snorted, giving him a humorless smile. "Mark Davidson here to see you, boss."

Noah waited patiently, not saying anything. His mind was entirely focused on what he had to do, and who he had to be, for this to work. He had to be someone he hadn't been in a while. But it wouldn't be that difficult. He was good at pretending. He stood by while Eliot fetched the mark and searched him, not expecting him to find anything since Sophie had sprung this meeting on the man, but impressed by the thoroughness.

He didn't respond to Eliot, just nodded, and turned his attention to the manager. "Mr. Davidson," he said cordially, his Russian accent a bit clearer than Sophie's had been. "It is good of you to come. I am Ivan Spektor. This is Elya. He is an associate." He held out his hand, and when Davidson took it, he twisted it sharply behind his back and slammed him down onto the table. It was quick and hard and Noah didn't even look like it had taken any effort.

"Now," he said conversationally, pushing the man's hand up between his shoulderblades, "I put my trust in your bank and, more importantly, I put my money in your bank. You must agree that trust is a very important thing, don't you, Mark?" He smiled, as if he wasn't causing the man pain. "I can call you Mark, can't I? You handle my money. That practically makes you family." He sighed. "Which makes this meeting so unfortunate...I want to trust you, but facts point to the contrary."

He looked over at Eliot. "Perhaps we should explain what happens when family betrays family?" He asked, as if considering what to order for dinner. "Or demonstrate."

Once Noah took over, Eliot stepped back behind him. Close enough to intercept if Davidson got up the nerve to try something, far enough away to give the impression that Noah was in charge, he was just the muscle. He crossed his arms over his chest, glaring at Davidson as Noah spoke. The bank manager didn't seem to notice, too busy worrying about the man in front of him.

Expression neutral with a little boredom, he let the other man do the talking. Davidson had his eyes squeezed shut, as if the scene wasn't taking place if he couldn't see it. He half nodded and released a breath, trying to regain his composure while his face was pressed against the table. "I would be more than happy to investigate whatev-"

Given the chance, he'd try and pin it on one of his employees to get out of facing Ivan Spektor's wrath. But when a demonstration was mentioned, he trailed off, eyes growing wider.

Eliot moved closer to the table. "Da," he replied. While Noah and Sophie had the hang of the accent, his was just enough to pass. "The left hand to show?" he asked, motioning to the hand Davidson had splayed out on the table in an attempt to gain some leverage. The bank manager quickly gave up that idea, pulling his arm in closer to his body as his mind went to its own conclusion over what Eliot had meant.
