WHO: Angela Petrelli, Gabriel "Sylar" Gray (Nathan Petrelli), & Claire Bennet
WHAT: Family has to stick together.
WHERE: Outside the Library
WHEN: After this
RATING: PG
STATUS: In Progress
Angela shifted nervously from foot to foot as she looked down the streets outside the library. There wasn't any explanation for this. She had never seen anything like this place before, and she wasn't exactly sure how to deal with it. Something this drastic she should have foreseen, and while she hadn't been sleeping well since...since they had built the pyre, she still occasionally got enough time to get the vitals. She would have thought that this would have been one of them. Swallowing over the lump that had formed in her throat, Angela ran her hand lightly over one of the marble decorations that wasn't a hidden living statue until her eyes lifted at the sound of someone approaching. The blood froze in her veins.
Tall and as large as life, the figure out her eldest son was striding towards her. It couldn't be. It had to be Sylar. But how could she tell? How was there any conceivable way to tell the difference? She had been so sure that she could after it had happened, but there had been occasions where it had been almost all too easy to forget. Sylar's acting was just that good. He was too much of chameleon for anyone's well being.
"Ma? Are you all right? You look like you've seen a ghost," Nathan's voice echoed in Angela's ears as a delicate hand reached out, touching her arm in concern as Nathan's eyes peered down at her, shining with a heavy concern as she looked back up at him. She wasn't going to cry. She wasn't going to cry.
"I'm all right, baby," Angela said quietly as she stepped forward, touching his cheek as she examined his face, his eyes, his mannerisms in each for any signs that would let her know which one this was. "It's just good to see you."
A laugh. Nathan's laugh as he grinned that trademark grin, "You're acting like you haven't seen me in months, Ma. This is a trip, isn't it? Any idea what this place might be?"
A pause, a lurch, and her arms reaching out, Angela wrapped them around the neck of the man in front of her, burying her head in his shoulder as tears collected in the corners of her eyes. "I don't know, Nathan. I don't know."
