Holding her broom out in front of her, she inspected it carefully, searching for any nicks she might have missed. It seemed perfect, as spotless as when she had first received it. Standing up, she waved her wand over the polish cloth she had been using on it. The rag became instantly clean, and she then stood up from her bed to put it away.

Placing her broom back into the corner of her room, she turned around, and then was slightly thrown off as the room she had just been in changed around her. She was back at Hogwarts, someplace she hadn't actually stepped into in a long time. She knew this scene. Knew the screams, the explosions, and more. Though it was different. Because there, among the crowds of people, were bodies. Bodies of those who had never died.

Death Eaters and those creatures who had aligned themselves with Voldemort were everywhere, as were students, Order Members and those form the DA. "Ginny!" she spun, and ducked as a killing curse flew over her head. Then she spun again, only to see Angelina Johnson, a girl she had always respected, get hit with a killing cure, and fall to the ground. "No!" Ginny yelled, and before she moved toward the girl, who else was around her really started to sink in. There were so many more bodies than what she remembered. Beside Angelina, there was Luna, large blue eyes staring blankly above her.

She spun, her breathing coming more rapidly now. They were all older, like she knew them now. There, there was Neville, and Collin was there, at the age he had been during the battle. Faces she all knew, had spoke to, had been friends with. Beside Fred was George. Percy, Bill, even Fleur.

Ginny spun again, looking around here. She dodged another curse, her wand coming out to fire one back at the masked attacker, and then she began to run. "Harry!" she yelled, he had to be around her somewhere. This wasn't right. Voldemort was dead. He couldn't be back, none of this made any sense. But he was, and he was killing off everyone she loved all over again. Only this time, he was getting them all.

She didn't know how far she ran, but the sight in front of her caused her to fall over. Every since Colligo, she had realized she had a lot more to lose than she ever thought. Ginny dropped beside the body of her teenage son, hands moving cautiously his face. If it wasn't for the lack of the scar, she would have though Albus was Harry. "No. No, no, no. Al, please." she whispered, brushing back a strand of hair, then shaking his lifeless body lightly. "Wake up." she half demanded. Another curse just missing her snapped her out of her daze. Blurry eyes looked up just in time to see someone else fall.

Hermione. Dead. Ron, right beside her, attacking her killer. She didn't even have time to see what happened, because something else caught her eye. The fight between Voldemort and Harry. Only no one was stopping to watch. Everyone around her was still being slaughtered. She knew what would happen. What was supposed to happen. Voldemort would cast. Harry would cast, and Voldemort would die from it. She stood up, running toward the scene, just as Voldemort raised his wand.

She watched the entire thing happen as she ran. But Harry didn't cast, and her stomach dropped as she watched the green light fly from Voldemorts wand, and slam into Harry's- her Harry, the one from her time- chest. She watched as the man she loved, had always loved since she was a little girl, fell to the ground, lifeless. The scream of victory from Voldemort was lost to her as she sprinted to Harry.

Ginny dropped to the ground, skidding across the grass to stop by Harry's body, reaching for him tentatively. They were gone. All gone. Harry, her brothers, Hermione, Luna. What about her other friends? The DA? It didn't matter, it was over. It was then she realized she couldn't save them. She wasn't meant to save them.

They were dead, and she was alone.

"Harry?" she whispered, hand coming to a rest on her chest. "Please." she breathed out. Ginny wasn't one to cry often. That wasn't the case in this situation. Tears splattered down onto his shirt as she hovered over the dead body of her fiance. "Please don't leave me." He couldn't. He couldn't leave her alone. Not with everyone else gone.

She was alone.

Closing her eyes, she didn't open them again until something changed. Everything went quiet, the grass was gone, and there was no body under her finger tips. Opening her eyes, she looked around through her tears. Ginny was back in her room.

She had no idea what had happened, but she found herself shifting her weight, sitting on the floor against her bed, and looking straight ahead. Her eyes were wide, damp with tears, and in complete shock. She almost felt as if she was going to be sick.
