WHO: Arthur and Morgana
WHAT: She has to warn him. Against what? She hasn't got a clue
WHEN: Almost directly after this
WHERE: The hallway, then his bedroom
RATING: TBD
STATUS: Closed/Incomplete

She didn't have time to process getting her shoes, yet some how, her hands managed to grab her PDA. She stumbled slightly as she got to her feet but she managed to run out of her apartment, door slamming behind her, straight towards Arthur's. Immedaitely she banged on his door, not caring who she awoke. All previous anger was gone here and now. She had to warn him, or maybe even see, that it hadn't all come true when ... That she somehow hadn't missed this, that this wasn't a warning coming too late. She couldn't remember. She couldn't .. she remembered but at the same time she felt as if she was missing something. No, she remembered, everything. But that's was it. She was missing something. But what? Her mind was too frantic to sit and think logically at what it could be.

"Open the door now, Arthur!"

Arthur had been having a rather pleasant dream when he was jerked from his sleep by a banging from the other room. He laid still willing the drunken clod to pass by and go to their own room when the person began to shout.

His name.

"Morgana," Arthur growled, ripping back the blankets, sparing a glance for the time. As if the absolute darkness of his bedroom gave no indication for the time. It was late, far too late for him having to deal with Morgana shouting at him at the very least.

"What is it, Morgana? Do you have absolutely no concept of ti--" Arthur cut himself off and held open the door further for her to come in. "What happened?"

The minute he opened the door she launched herself at him, barely giving him time to react. And before he could further process the fact that she was hugging him, she pulled back so she could search his features in the low light. He was alive and he was fine and she hadn't been too late.

However, even as she tried to force herself to calm down, her heart continued to beat rapidly in her ears, and her fingers clenched into his arms, perhaps more than a little painfully. She just stared at him, eyes still holding more than a little fear before his words clicked in her head. "God, Arthur it was horrible! I .. I ... I don't even know where to begin." Usually her visions were more straightforward. Or at least straight forward enough that there was a villian, a victim, and an action. That it was scene in everyday life. She'd dreamt once that one of Arthur's knights would fall off their horse and break their arm. A few days later, just that had happened. Nothing unusual, nothing to be happy about, but nothing unusual. But all of what she'd seen there had been no beginning and no end. Just images, plenty and different and all painful.

"I-Morgana!" Arthur's arms wavered uselessly behind her back when she tackled him. Just when he caught up to what was happening, she'd pulled away, gripping her arms with talon-like nails and a wild expression. He wrapped his hands around her elbows, willing her to breath and slow down without saying a word.

Despite the way they constantly baited each other, Arthur and Morgana truly cared for one another. Or maybe, not despite, or because of ... and including. It's how they showed their affection. Both had domineering presence and could never suffer someone else being their better, both were good enough to be the other's equal in certain things and both were too stubborn and hardheaded to abide by that.

Yet even with their pettyness for each other, their relationship wasn't a shallow one. Morgana was almost always the one who sought him out, whether to berate him or encourage him; especially when they'd gotten older. However, in turn, Arthur was always there. Always there to pick her back up again when she flung herself into something she had no business getting into, when she cracked a little too hard. He was always there to rescue her. Even when she continued believing that she'd never need to be rescued.

It was always teasing or angry words between them, occassionaly encouraging ones, but at the moment he said nothing. Nothing at all and it was enough. In fact, it could have been just right because she had time to listen to herself. To the voices in her head as the calmed and stilled, and she sorted out just what she was going to say.

Arthur moved forward, capturing her attention as well as her shoulders. He took her into a hug, awkward till the end of it, but damn well afraid of anything that could get her to look like that.

Here.

Morgana was calming down, regaining her composure, that strength and refusal to be brought down that was just very much her. Still when he pulled her into a hug, the one she gave in return was just a little tighter. A little more frantic than it needed to be.

Her heart slowing down further, she couldn't help but lean into him a bit. She'd felt so cold with fear and sweat but now she felt a little more real again. A little more alive and a little warmer. Slowly she regained a proper breathing rhythm, letting out a breath that hit him against his neck.

She was okay now. She knew what she was going to tell him and she knew just what she wasn't going to tell him. "I'm alright now, Arthur." Was all she said, the first words she'd said in a while since banging down his door. I'm ready, was what she thought.

Arthur rubbed her back in unsure circles, working his jaw while trying to come up with something to say. He rested his cheek against her hair, brushing his hand over the tangled ends.

Should he be feeling guilt for this? He had to wonder if he'd let her calm before setting off at his father's command she might have--He might have reconsidered his own actions.

"Are you?" He held her at arms distance to see her face. "Because you certainly don't look it."
