The woods are getting bigger.

Am I the only one who noticed that?

You have me following a guy that can move things with his brain. You didn't tell me that.

You should tell people when they're tracking guys who can do things like that.

Seeing how forests are alive, it stands to reason they would get larger as time passes.

It's downright weird if you ask me.

I didn't. Has it only happened this once?

I guess. I don't spend much time in the woods normally.

And yet you noticed and thought it worth considering.

Rude.

I was walking the perimeter. It took longer to get there.

Maybe you were walking slower than normal. Have you given any thought to normal occurrences?

I know how fast I walked. I know how long it took last week. I know how long it took this week. I didn't walk slower.

The woods are getting bigger.

Parker.

You're that Arthur guy, right?

Parker, really? What kind of a name is that?

Yes.

[info]inafivepoundbag

Yes. Parker. Something wrong with my name?

Aren't you supposed to have a special sword? And some old guy with a long white beard that stalks you?

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]a_royal_prat
2009-07-07 04:35 am UTC (link)
No. Merely curious.

I've a sword, but there's nothing special about it. There's more to sword fighting than a good blade. Though it does help.

A bearded old man? I should think not. Unless you mean Gaius, but he doesn't have a beard, so you must be mistaken.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]inafivepoundbag
2009-07-07 04:40 am UTC (link)
Uh-huh.

So it's just a regular old worthless sword? Sucks for you.

Hmm. Never heard of a Gaius. I'm pretty sure I'm not wrong though.

[info]a_royal_prat

What? Just because I'm the prince doesn't mean I merit a specialized sword. I use the same swords as all the other knights, and I'm proud to do so.

I haven't got a clue what you're talking about. I don't know any bearded men.

I never said you merited anything. I just heard you had a special sword. You get irritable easily. Did you know that?

Maybe not yet, you don't. He's a pretty good stalker if I remember right.

Have you ever been a squirrel?

I'm only irritable when the people around me are being idiotic.

Clearly, you remember wrong. Where are you getting your information from?

No.

I'm not telling you.

This entire place is weird. Cars show up, creepy things attack people, so why not woods? And I love the woods, so even better.

True. Nature freak.

Still. The city stays the same but the woods expand. Seems strange to me.

Ooh! You're the guy with Eliot's face! That's so weird.

Aren't those the talking tree things from that really long movie about people walking through the woods because of some stupid ring?

That movie was so boring.

Hey, I'm an original. Could be funny though.

Yeah. The ones that took forever and a day just to get out one sentence. If you think the movies were boring, try the books. Details are great until you start drowning in them.

It's probably like the girl up above said. Expansion to accomodate the increase in nature lovers.

Maybe so, but your face isn't.

I only watched the first movie because I took the reel from Lucas' vault I was bored. That's three hours I'll never get back.

I hope so.

A creative higher power liked the design and thus made two.

First movie is all exposition. Last two are a lot of action scenes. Not my kind of thing.

It's preferable to the option that the trees have a mind of their own and decided to take over. You never know with this place.

Or maybe you were just separated at birth.

The little guys with the hairy feet were freaky. I didn't like them.

True. Attack trees don't sound very fun. There'd be splinters everywhere.

I like my idea better. I had five siblings. A long lost twin I don't need. Amusing as that would be to torture some people with.

Hobbits? They were annoying.

In painful places and we'd probably never see it coming. On the up side, trees are highly flammable.

Five siblings? Wow. That's like the Brady Bunch.

Yes! Hobbits! Their feet were hairy and they were short. I don't trust short things with hairy feet. It's a rule.

Ooh! True. A couple of cans of hairspray and some lighters and we'd definitely win that war.

[info]stopitevilhand

Very far from it.

That almost makes me wonder why you'd have a rule like that.

Right. Mystically animated trees aren't exactly as frightening as they sound, aside from the splinters.

No family was like the Brady Bunch. They were freaks.

How many trustworthy short things with hairy feet do you know?

Really bad splinters in really, really bad places.

They aren't but there were plenty that tried to be. Never saw much of them but what little I did catch, the perkiness was disgusting.

I don't even know any short things with hairy feet.

Right. Wouldn't want that, except maybe in a vampire or two.

Actually, I have noticed.

Perhaps forest growth has something to do with population growth, though I can't see why that would matter unless shelter or resources were being provided somewhere inside.

I like what that one girl said. More people who like the woods showed up. So the woods compensated.

Either that, or attack trees. Because burning things can be fun.

No, he didn't see me. I think he heard me, once. Then he used his brain to move something big in front of the door. Guess he forgot about the air duct.

So do you want the long story about what happened or the short one?
