Wish I could say that I did.

Unfortunately, Claire, thanks to your actions, I know next to nothing significant about the man. His whereabouts right now could have to do with that.

For one, I really doubt that. And this isn't my fault. Don't insinuate that it is.

Why are you so intent on finding out what we do for a living anyway?

What if he was kidnapped?

Especially if you are inclined to be secretive about the former professions of yourself and Topher, hasn't it occurred to you that something so delicate might put you at risk? It is less about my "intent" and more about my predilection for doing a good job at work.

The bottom line is, I can't help much if you won't cooperate.

Who would do that? You're being ridiculous. Besides, if nobody knows what we did, then we can't really be at risk of anything, can we? That's what I was going for there.

There's a difference between cautious and just plain difficult. It's safe to assume that, since we were brought here against our will, even those of us who were heavily guarded or gifted with tremendous power, someone knows a great deal about us already. Probably someone we'd rather didn't possess this knowledge.

Cautious is keeping relevent information a secret from every average Tom, Dick and Harry who inquires. Just plain difficult is refusing to tell a detective what you and your friend did for a living, and then asking said detective to help locate this mystery person. Do you follow?

Fine, alright. We worked for the Rossum Corporation. It's a pharmaceutical company. Probably you've heard of it. I was a physician and he was a Neurology Researcher.
