Hey!  I have a Christmas present for you whenever you're not celebrating with Mohinder or whoever else you guys are celebrating with!

I have to say, I got myself probably the best Christmas present ever.

Isn't she adorable??

I'm sure she'll come round. Esme was far from shy though, still is. I'm sure she will get more daring after a while.

Yeah, I just hope she's not too scared of everything. Esme's your puppy?

I'm not sure, I just looked at her when Arthur brought her home and the name slipped out.

It's a sweet name, though I can't remember where I heard it before. Do you have any ideas for your puppy?

Not yet. I've always been notoriously bad at naming things. Comes with having a dad who writes for a living and creates completely amazing characters and names for them that are perfect. Usually I'd think up something for it to start with and beg him to think of a name.

Well do you have any idea of what you want it to start with? Perhaps I can help.

Oh, I sort of like that. Maybe Rosalind. That sounds sort of perfect for her.

I actually don't celebrate Christmas all that much since I'm Hindu. But I did get you something too, since I figured you celebrated and my religion shouldn't mean you don't get gifts.

And I love your puppy! Have you picked a name for her yet?

Oh, I didn't even think about that. I don't know too much about Hinduism. But this isn't too Christmas-y anyhow. Just a present sort of present.

Thanks!! She's precious. I haven't. I'm still wavering about whether to name her after someone or something or what.

It's okay. Most people don't. We celebrate Pancha Ganapati this time of year. It's from December 21 to December 25 and every day we spend time with our family and talk about anything that we might have done to upset each other, and then we have one present for each night that we open on the fifth one.

But I did celebrate Christmas when my parents were still alive, and the whole point of both Pancha Ganapati and Christmas is to be with people we care about and be happy for what we have, so they're sorta the same anyway.

Hmm. Well, I named my puppy Slinky because he kinda looked like the toy, but naming yours after someone would be really sweet and nice, too. Or maybe name her after her personality?

That sounds like a really meaningful holiday. It probably isn't nearly as commercialized as Christmas is, which makes it more special.

Hmmm. I don't know. I think I want to name her something starting with an R. So far, her only personality trait is adorable, sleepy, and very, very shy.
