Today I went into the forest and sat in the mud. It was lovely, smelled just like it was supposed to. I thought for a long while.

Sorry about the carpet in the living room, Ginny.

I would not find anything that reminds me of my childhood home relaxing, I would prefer to not remember the place

It couldn't all be bad though. You must have some happy memories.

Ha! Happy memories of my childhood home?! Not a chance.

Wait, why are we talking about this? We should go back to 'mud'.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Childhood isn't meant to be a trying time. Nobody is meant to be a grown up when they're just a child.

Oh, yes. Mud. In the city things are quite different from home and it's very plain to see, but the woods are different. Homier, I think.

Maybe you can move out there - if you prefer it so much.

Can we move from these flats? I mean, we are compelled to stay in the city, are we also 'trapped' in these living arrangements provided for us?

I don't see why not.
