Apparently resumes around here aren't that important.

Needless to say, I somehow wrangled a job as a cook at one of the smaller restaurants.  Step one to making sure you're crazy

Is there a gym around?

Pretty much, yeah. Often times an actor or actress will take on a role for a favorite comic book or novel character, and if they manage to pull it off, it can make their entire career. Just cause of the fanboys and fangirls. Okay, maybe I stretch a little but they have a huge part in it. Especially since I suspect that most critics are just fanboys and girls with fancy titles

You never know nowadays. But that isn't exactly what I meant but I'll leave it be for now.

It's an interesting world you come from. Nothing like the Colonies, and yet a remarkable similarity nonetheless. Fangirls and fanboys. Kara would mock the hell out of them.

Oh? People change back to younger ages and different genders here? What did you mean? I'm curious now.

Yeah. I find myself fond of it.

Actually. I was witholding comment on how you obviously thought squeeing had to do with sex. But yeah. That was one of the weird things that was happening. Remember when I mentioned people were being switched with their alternate selves? Well, those selves weren't always the same age or even the same gender. Most of Starfleet regressed. Two males turned into females. A couple people became their older versions. Other people It was interesting.

Ah. Can you blame me?

Their selves were different ages and genders?! That's...I'll use your word. Interesting.

Yes! Definitely! No ... to be honest that isn't the first time someone's thought it. And given the amount of porn fangirls write

Interesting is the best word to use. It's neutral in enough. Because in a way it was fascinating. In another it was a complete headache and unfair to a lot of people. Grossly unfair

No? So I'm not alone at least. Comforting thought.

It quite sounds like it would be a headache and unfair. I can't fully comprehend that those things happened. Though given my manner of arrival and the fact that I'm apparently fictional, I'm not entirely surprised, though.

After a while, in this place, nothing seems impossible. Not that things don't shock you from time to time. Even I'm not that jaded It's just ... because like 'I'm supposedly fictional? Oh, well ... so is almost everybody else' or 'Gargoyles? They exist? Why not? We had demons two months ago'.

Gargoyles and demons. This place never is going to cease to amaze, is it?

The gargoyles haven't happen and unless you're going Hunchback or from that cartoon, I don't think they ever will. But no it really isn't. At least it rarely gets boring.

That's at least comforting. What a frakking weird place I've managed to land myself in. Boring is one thing that I haven't been able to claim my life was for quite some time.

It kind of is. You know your life is weird when surviving demons trying to take your heart feels similar to home Not to mention other stuff Me neither. Weird, yes. But think about it this way, you're discovering authors you've never heard of before and you got a job cooking. I say the latter two trumps the weirdness. Sort of.

Oh, I'm not complaining by any means about being here. I didn't have anyone left before I managed to be here. The weirdness is just a bit overwhelming. The authors and cooking help.

Dios, neither did I. Here's good compared to there I trust in your ability to cope. As do brownies.

I've dealt with a lot harder things than this. I think I'll be fine. Brownies. Hm.

I figured that out, hence the trusting. Brownies. Chocolate solves nearly everything.

Oh, Gods, there's chocolate in this place? That's something I've missed. And probably something I should avoid.

That's just Yes. There is. You can find it anywhere. Grocery store, vending machines, anywhere. I suggest Hershey's chocolate. Any and every.

I'm going to have to be careful not to buy the stores out of it. For myself as much as them and everyone else. Good thing I found a gym

There's a reason why man invented the gym. In order for man to have lots of chocolate without man having to worry about beating him/herself up about it.

Reporters go to the gym, too? So they can make sure to be up to par on their running?

Actually. That's exactly what I was thinking. You're good. I know a lot of people wouldn't have gotten that. Not specifically. Just in general.

That'll teach me to judge not. Would have expected more of a general stiffness or a centralized lack of humor ... or both. In my limited experiance, thought Lane was the exception.
