I needed a bit of a study break, and this seemed as good as anything.
1. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, and find line 4. 17.020 Adult Entertainment
2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can, What can you touch? Someone who's been bothering while I'm trying to study. Not that I'm complaining, Mister Built Like a Brickwall.
3. What were you doing before you started answering these questions? Going over the police procedures training manual. I was just making sure I've got a decent understanding of what's changed over the last few decades.
4. What is the last game you played? Darts at Steve's birthday party.
5. Without looking, guess what time it is 7:30
6. Now look at the clock. What is the actual time? 7:39. Just a little off.
7. When did you last go outside? What were you doing? I went out this morning to just take a look around. I'm still getting used to this place.
8. Did you dream last night? Do you remember your dreams? Yes. Vaguely. I remember they were happy ones.
9. When did you last laugh? About 20 seconds ago when I randomly poked Steve's side and he jumped.
10. Have you seen anything weird lately? Considering the PDA was rather weird to me when I arrived, I would say I have seen some weird things lately. Probably not things that seem weird to the rest of you, though.
11. What do you think of these questions? Amusing enough so far. Wouldn't it have been better to ask this question further down the list?
12. What is the last film you saw? I haven't seen a film in awhile. I would guess it was the news reels from the front. I think I'm going to have to change that soon.
13. If you could live anywhere at all, where would you choose? New York felt more like home to me than London ever did.
14. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy? I can't think of anything that I would need.
15. What is something about you that most people don’t know? My actual name.
16. If you could change one thing you’ve done, what would you do? Hold it just in case something goes wrong in the future.
17. Do you like to dance? Yes. Especially with one specific person.
18. Does your name make any interesting anagrams? Craggy Peter & Reggae Crypt.
19. Who made the last incoming call on your phone? Steve.
20. What is the last thing you downloaded onto your computer? I haven't even figured out how to work the thing that well yet.
21. When was the last time you went swimming? God. Not since I was a kid. That would be something to try once the weather warms back up.
22. What type of music you like most? Dislike most? Big band and swing was always fun. A bit old fashioned, but I was never overly concerned with keeping up with trends.
23. Are you listening to music right now? Nope. Alternating between reading and answering these. No real time for music.
24. What color is your bedroom carpet? Biege.
25. If you could change something about your home, what would it be? I haven't really stayed in one place long enough to have somewhere I'd call a home. This place is pretty nice, though.
26. Have you ever ridden on a motorbike? Yes
27. Do you have a garden? No. I doubt I would be any good at growing things.
28. Do you really know all the words to your national anthem? I know the words for England's as well as the United States.
29. What is the first thing you think when you wake up in the morning? Yes. It's much nicer not sleeping alone.
30. If you could eat lunch with one famous person, who would it be? No idea. I guess I wouldn't have minded a chat with Elizabeth I.
31. If you could have sex with one famous person, who would it be? I think I'm fine with the one I have, thanks.
32. Who sent the last text message you received? It was probably one of those mass texts that got sent when the phones were on the blink.
33. What time is bed time? Whenever I get tired. Sometimes a little later than that.
34. Have you ever been in a beauty pageant? No. Though, I was often told that I should be.
35. How many tattoos do you have? If you don't have any, have you ever thought of
getting one? None. I was never very fond of the idea.
36. What did you do for your last birthday? Nothing. I was too busy helping win a war.
37. Do you carry a donor card? I did. I don't have one here.
38. Who was the last person you ate dinner with? Steve.
39. When's the last time you ate something homegrown? It would have to have been before arriving here. But with rationing, most of the good food that we got was.
40. Have you ever won anything? I like to consider my life a series of victories even if they're hardly official.
41. Are you a good cook? I do all right when I have the chance.
42. Do you know how to pump your own gas? I understand how to do it, but I can't say I have ever had to.
43. Have you ever worn a school uniform? I went to public school so of course I did.
44. What's under your bed? Dirty clothes, at the moment.
45. Do you believe in love at first sight? I definitely think it's possible to believe you could love someone when you first see them. But you have to get to know them before you can be sure.
46. What’s the first word that pops into your head? Snow. There's an awful lot of it at the moment.
47. Where were you on Valentine's day? I honestly don't remember.
48. What time do you get up? Wake up or get out of bed? Because I woke up rather early, but I didn't get out of bed for some time later.
49. What was the name of your first pet? Duchess, a sweet little mutt that followed me home from school when I was seven and successfully convinced my parents to allow me to keep.
50. What are your plans for this weekend? Nothing specific in mind. Considering the sudden temperature drop, I might just stay inside.
51. How are you feeling right now? Quite content.
52. What do you think about the most? My mind does wander back to home things are going back home, but I'm good with pushing forward here.
53. What do you do when you’re bored? Read, usually.
54. What do you do for a living? Do you love your job? I've worked for British Intelligence and the classified SSR program, and I'm currently studying to apply for the police force here. I do enjoy what I do. Immensely. Helping people, one way or another, is always worthwhile.
55. What did you want to be when you grew up? Certainly not what I ended up as. I wanted to be a ballerina for the longest time, but I didn't have the sort of committment to it that you needed.
56. If you could have any job, what would you want to do/be? Exactly what I am.
57. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? It's a never ending exchange between the two. You can't exist without the other so either they both exist within the same space or the cease existing all together.
58. How many keys on your key ring? Just the one for my flat at the moment.
59. What kind of car do you drive? I don't have one here.
60. What are your best physical features? I don't know. My eyes and my smile? I'm sure you boys might be able to come up with more colourful answers.
61. What are your best characteristics? My intelligence and my determination.
62. What kind of books do you like to read? Any kind.
63. What is your favorite time of the day? I love the night.
64. Where did you grow up? London, born and bred. Though, all the better for getting out of the city for awhile.
65. Can you touch your nose with your tongue? Yes.
66. Can you close your eyes and raise your eyebrows? I would think so, but I can't see to find out.
67. Do you have pets? Not at the moment.
68. How many rings before you answer the phone? However many it takes to get to it. Though, I will stand there once I've reached it and wait for it to ring one more time before picking up.
69. What is your favorite childhood memory? I always loved being able to get out and just explore around the house. Granted, I pretty much always got in trouble when I got back scuffed up, scrapped up, and dirty from head to toe. Not very ladylike, that.
70. What are some of the different jobs that you have had in your life? I've only ever had one job in varying degrees. Before the war, employment wasn't a major concern.
71. Any new and exciting things that you would like to share? Steve makes a wonderfully delightful face when you poke him without warning. That's about the most recent discovery I've made.
72. What is most important in life? Being happy with who you are and content with where you are in life. And at the moment, I couldn't be more of both if I tried.
73. What inspires you? The people around me have always been my greatest inspiration. I would happily sing the praises of the one behind me, but I think I might put him at risk if I divert all his blood flow into his face.
74. If you could go back in time and change something, what would it be? The most obvious thing isn't something that I could change, not matter how hard I tried, so I think I will just be content with the here and now.
