Hello all! The mods here, with a couple quick things.
• First up, as we mentioned earlier, the Christmas In July plot is starting to wind to a close. Over the next few days, the temperatures are going to start rising and the snow is going to melt. The decorations will slowly start being taken down in shops and Christmas music will stop. This is going to happen gradually but all of it will be gone entirely by August 1st.
• It's also time for a new plot! Starting at midnight tonight, characters are going to start changing ages. Whether they get older or younger is up to you. You can even age them up for a bit then age them down for a while, or vice versa. The plot is fairly lax in that regard and, as always, you don't have to participate at all if you'd rather not. However, we do have a few rules to go with whichever option you choose.
Okay, there's not really a test but it's still a good idea to read this stuff.
→ If you make your character younger, they will not have any memory of Colligo or anyone they've met in the city. The only exception to this are characters who were still in Colligo at that age. Otherwise, this is literally as though your character is suddenly younger and will only know those they knew from their own canon at that age originally.
→ If you make your character older, they must be from some 'possible future' within Colligo itself or a canon future from their own fandom. You cannot age your character up as though they were returned to their own reality and lived out their lives there unless, once again, there is already canon support for that future within their fandom. (For example: Erik Lehnsherr, as he is from X-Men: First Class, has a future canon version from the later X-Men movies.) We also ask that you do try to keep the 'possible future' your character is from at least something realistic. Odds are they aren't from a war-torn landscape where 90% of the people are dead as the city does have a history of cleaning up its own messesmore or less.
→ As mentioned, you do not have to get mod permission to age your characters up or down. We do ask, though, that you try not to age them up then down too many times in a row. Once, maybe twice, per older or younger versions is more than enough. They also can be returned to their actual ages whenever you'd like. You do not have to wait for the end of the plot to do so.
→ In regards to children who are currently NPCs in the city (Abigail Pendragon, Caden Winchester, Jack and Meri Winchester). If you would like to age them up for the plot, you certainly can do so. If you do age them up, however, they need to stay that age once the plot ends. Also, for the duration of the plot itself, you can play that NPC child if they have been aged up. If you would like them to post from their own journal, please request comm membership with the child's journal so we can add them temporarily. Once the plot ends, of course, they will remain that age and still be around but we would prefer them not continue posting so we will be removing their journals from the comms at that point.
And that's about it! Once again, the plot will start at midnight tonight and will run two, possibly three, weeks depending on player interest. If you have any questions, feel free to respond here or contact us!
