What the hell happened?
We know, we know, the game exploded over the last few days.
Short version:
Sabrina killed Olivier to raise a dozen corpses from the Necropolis.
An Unknown Mage appeared and challenged her, leading to Sabrina becoming an abomination.
Members of the royal family fought and defeated a pride demon on the palace grounds. Some guards were killed. princess Alia was gravely injured.
The corpses were put rather forcibly back to rest by the Mortalitasi. They never made it to the streets.
An examination by Circle mages and templars found the remains of Sabrina's robes and her staff. It is assumed that she and Olivier were the only two in the courtyard. Mystery Mage remains at large~
Ambassador Alexius issued a public apology, indicating that Sabrina was under the thrall of his recently dead brother Cesare.
In the middle of the apology, Shae showed up and tried to shank him. She was caught and sentenced to execution.
However, late that night, the Warden Commander came and conscripted her. Shae is Not Thrilled.
Okay, but with all of that said, what happens now? What do your characters know and where do things go from here?
By now, everyone knows there was some sort of altercation at the palace. Those who work there (or know people who work there) may know it was a demon.
Circle mages have been running in and out of the palace all day. Especially healers. So the Circle has a pretty good idea of what's happening.
Alexius' apology was made publicly, encompassing both the events of last night (in vague terms) and the events that led to the death of Duke Van Markham last month. Anyone could have been present to hear the apology. Anyone present would also have seen Shae's thwarted assassination attempt and subsequent arrest.
Anyone lurking outside the palace laaaaaaaaaaaaate at night may have seen the Warden Commander and a Warden mage depart with Shae.
Things will be quiet for the next few days, fortunately for everyone. If you have questions, comments, or angry gifs to throw at us, feel free to toss them here!
