Calling All Testers [Mar. 14th, 2004|03:05 pm]

squeaky
Okay, this test has been a long time coming, and I have put a WHOLE ton of work into this update.

I need ALL of the testers (i.e. anyone even remotly interested in testing the site) to go over to http://ij.squeak.net/

Just about every file on this site has been changed in one way or another so we need everything tested.

Basically if you dont know what testing involves, just go to http://ij.squeak.net/ and make a journal. Then try to use that journal. Make a style, make entires, comment on entires, try to delete comments, change your setting, search for yourse, or anything else of the sort you would like to try.

If testing goes well, I would like to get this code up and running before the end of the week, but I wont do anying until I know I have at least 5 people testing the site.

If you plan on testing please make a comment in this entry, and then start testing stuff. Since there is a design change involved we will take some commentary on the changes made to the site. I have tried to simplify navigation while also reducing the amount of bandwidth this site uses.

As soon as this code goes live I can actually start working on some of the new features that I have been talking about. So it's really important that this code is thouroughly tested.

Update: I have decided not to change the site scheme ... have fun :)

Updated Test Server [Nov. 23rd, 2003|01:44 pm]

squeaky
The following files were updated on the test server and need to be tested. Please report all bugs here. [info]lj_changelog has a list of what has been changed in each of these files.

I have made this real easy for everyone by providing links to each updated file. Also remember to try to create an account, a community, and post to a normal journal or a community.

If you dont have access to the features of one of these links or just dont know how to use it, just skip over it. Though if you are interested in getting access or learning how to use each of thse pages, drop a comment here.

Thanks for your help.

I have pushed the code that was on the testing server live and have put new code on the server. This was a pretty large update, so test a lot, espically S1 Styles.

Width problems with ads [Sep. 7th, 2003|09:55 am]

squeaky
Okay, I believe I have fixed the width problems with the large ad space on the testing server. Please go to http://ij.squeak.net/ and test, please everyone test this, I want this style tested under as many differenet configurations as possible. I am trying to maximize ad revenue while still leaving the site easy to use and looking nice. I refuse to sacrifice functionality/aesthetics for money.
