New Code Ready [Jan. 24th, 2006|11:43 am]

Okay we are ready for you to test the new code on the Test Server.

What we need is for you to test as much of the site as you can. Do about anything you can think of on the site. The only problem we are aware of right now is an inability to delete comments. And we are working with the LiveJournal developers to correct that ASAP.

So go create your accounts and your asylums and do as much as you can think of. What we are especially worried about is making sure all of the site features work on all of the site schemes. We still have quite a few users who use the older schemes and we want to make sure that the site will continue to work for everyone.

New Code Ready for Testing [May. 17th, 2005|01:24 pm]

Okay everyone. The newest code from LiveJournal is up and running. I've worked most of the bugs out of it, but now I need as many people as possible to work on testing it for me.

The AJAX comment management allows you to manage comments on your entries without having to change pages. It uses javascript to handle it all now.

And the new age verification system will allow users under 13 to use the site, but in a very disabled manner.

In addition to this make come communities, post in them, comment back and forth with each other.

Everyone who creates an account add it here so everyone else can add it to their friends list to make sure that part of the site is working. Basically do everything you can think of to the test server. Try to find bugs and if you do find any please comment back in this entry.

Just so I can get a good feel of why things aren't working right over at the test server. I have reset the database. You will all have to create new accounts over there to continue testing. BTW there will be a new round of testing shortly so keep an eye here.

New Site Design [Sep. 16th, 2004|10:47 am]

I am working on redesigning the look and feel of the InsaneJournal website. But before I push this live, I need as many people as possible to go to and test the new site scheme. It is heavy in javascript and I want to make sure it works on all platforms.

If you feel inclined to help us out, please post back here with any comments at all, even if it is just "Tested, works fine". I want to get at least 50 users to test this before I push it live.

As always I will continue to offer the option of using older site schemes if you are personally not fond of the new one.

Testing [May. 6th, 2004|02:46 pm]

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am currently working on the email backend of the IJ support system. This is going to generate a lot of email if you have your support email options turned on. Please ignore these requests as I will close them as soon as testing is completed.

More Testing [Apr. 29th, 2004|02:28 pm]

Okay, I have some new code up on the test server.

Look here for stuff to test )

As usual, report problems to the support system on the Test Server. And comment here so I know some people are testing. Also comment in the same thread when you are done testing (i.e. everything seems to work for you).
