Fanboyism [Active]
Who: Near and Duo
What: Flik and Dev finally have a reason to log Duo and Near *shot* Near finally sees Deathscythe. ♥
When:A day or two after Near returned to life.
Where: The Hangar.
Warnings: Nothing as of yet, but we can't be sure it'll remain that way. >.>
Near had been lost in his thoughts ever since the curse had ended for him; or rather, ever since he had returned to life. The events that happened during those two weeks, and specially what had made the curse end for Mello, and then for him... It was troubling him far too much. Why had the ghosts paired him up with Mello? Was it some sort of sick joke? But at least Gevanni had been brought to this strange place, and Near had another ally. Perhaps it had been some odd way of repaying him for what happened during the last curse.
He was lost in his thoughts, but still not lost enough to forget where he was walking to. And so, for the first time since his arrival (if you didn't count the last curse, that is), Near walked outside of the hotel, blinking as his eyes adjusted to the light outside. Even the outside looked... empty. Different from his world. The streets were unnaturaly empty and even the sky looked different.
Deciding to explore a little, Near walked around the building. The city was still a little far but it was perfectly visible, and the detective couldn't help but wonder if Gevanni had visited the place already, and if so, if he had found anything interesting. But his thoughts were pushed aside as he walked upon what seemed to be a hangar, and then he remembered it: the hangar that Duo had often mentioned to someone else, in which he built his Gundam. It was... Deathscythe, wasn't it? Near almost snorted at the name. If that giant robot was originally named by Duo, the pilot was even cockier than what Near initially thought. Although the detective didn't doubt how deadly such a weapon could be; of course not. But the name was a little too much.
Walking inside as silently as he could, Near stopped in his tracks when he saw the huge robot-- or what would soon be a robot, anyway. It seemed that only the skeleton was fully assembled, although some of it already had some kind of armor. But even so, his eyes widened slightly and he could only stare, feeling a little in awe. It was... He didn't know how to describe it. But it was just like the robots he played with and he wanted to play with this one as well, and the idea of piloting such a thing came to mind. It would take him a while to learn how to do it, but he knew that he could. If he was given a chance, he could.
Near walked closer, eyes glued to the Gundam in front of him, thoughts of I want this as my new toy running through his mind. But his distraction caused him to almost trip on a metal part that was lying on the floor, which made a very loud sound as it was kicked on accident. The detective winced slightly, fearing that the sound could bring Duo into the place soon. He didn't want to meet him.
