Embarrassment, she repeated the word in her head many times, now knowing that it consisted of stomach squirming, heart-pounding, and her face feeling as though it was literally on fire. She usually felt these things when with Naruto as well, but they were not as intense and as... unpleasant as they were in this situation.
Embarrassment. She did not like it.
Haruka's questions did, indeed, make her want to bury her face into her hands as if it would make her disappear, but it also made her want to ask questions of her own. She seemed to know a lot about the things she was asking but Sakura had never experienced anything beyond a friendly relationship in her life. Even her regular self lacked in the romance department.
"We've... held hands..." she said lightly, probably doing a great impersonation of Hinata right now, the shyest and quietest girl Sakura had ever met from back home. She did not know how to continue the conversation without keeping her own opinions inside. It was hard. "But we've never... I mean... not even close to... ... k-kissing..." though now she was terrifyingly curious as to what it was like.
