Haruka paused, catching the coin with grace when she heard Sakura’s voice, and attempted her best and most confident smile as she pushed herself off the wall, straightening and smiling warmly at her friend. It was strange to see her in black and white, so smiley and polite, and… in that dress. The 50s style was meant to stay in that era, of this Haruka was certain. Of course, her mind thought immediately of how Michiru might have looked in the conservative frocks and she did smile faintly – she couldn’t help but think that she might actually seem adorable. Clearing such things from her head quickly, she held a hand out politely to Sakura, deciding she may as well put on her best manners if she was going to do this well and without scaring her off.
“Thanks for meeting me. I was worried that the uh… unpleasant actions that have been coming around the city and town lately that it might scare you off or something.” She gave a nervous chuckle, shoving her hands into her pockets as she looked her over. This could be difficult, but she had to do it. She had to help her somehow.
Walking to the door, she pulled it open, politely motioning for her to go through first, the same pleasant smile on her face that had been there since Sakura had arrived. “After you,” she said quietly, waiting for her to go through before she would follow her inside.
