Who needed guns? [ Active ] Who: Light (god_of_justice), Riddle (riddle_me_this) and, later, a guest star of Ivy (deadly_kiss) What: Being paranoid. When: Mid-afternoon. Where: Garden. Warnings: Ivy's eventual "GTFO MY LAWN," and... Light and Tom.
It was no mistake; Tom held the care-taker of the garden in high esteems, given how fast she'd managed to grow the few magical plants he'd been able to ground up, not to mention the general feeling she carried towards muggles (or, well, alright, everyone, but a wizard was allowed his selective sight) - and so long as he made sure not to step on anything when he grabbed a few for the various potions cooking in his room or return with even more seeds than before, there was little conflict.
Riddle was wondering how the Japanese one would fair. They were always a noisy lot, weren't they? At least if the muggle got snapped up by underbrush, it wouldn't be his fault.
But a person couldn't rely on Nature to protect them - the Earth had proven in far too many cases that She didn't care one ounce about wizard or muggle, and as much fun as he'd had reading back on the 'entries' of Yagami's... 'Will you help me?' Oh, no, he wasn't going to bother with those cumbersome weapons, and as there wasn't much magic he could do wandlessly that wouldn't destroy their surroundings on top of immobilizing someone, he'd improvise.
Such a good thing fashion wasn't a big issue in this place. It gave him an excuse to wear a cloak (not a robe; that'd be too obvious for Tom's tastes); an especially baggy one, where the flash of scales of a small reptile would never be noticed. He wasn't planning on being grabbed, and cloth never bothered the little snakes - he'd never do it if it did - so... Why not? Straightening back up from the momentary crouch on the ground, a gardener (not poisonous, but people tended to be frightened of them anyway) wrapped around his upper arm, the Slytherin was swift to take a place next to the only bench not completely covered in foliage, looking for all the world like he'd been there the whole time.
Which he hadn't, of course. But Yagami didn't need to know that. Tom wanted to know everything about the 'Witch;' she wasn't conventional, and to grant a wish... He could get his wand back.
If she and he told the truth. Which they had better. Ichihara, Riddle couldn't (wouldn't) do anything against but the muggle was open game, unintentional lies or not.
