"There isn't really that much else to say. I don't have any memory of things that didn't appear to be key events and I have no intention of going through that again for a few more." He wouldn't look at her. He couldn't look at her... not when she was so close or previous events would come rushing back to him. The last thing he needed was a repeat of that.
This was the reason he didn't forge bonds with people -the boy he had been (and still was to some extent) had a hard time grasping the concept of not wearing your heart on your sleeve when it came to those he took an interest in. Of course, growing up in a competitive household didn't help matters any either, making him prone to anger and jealousy when he didn't get what he wanted... and this was one of those times.
What he wanted was attention. Who he wanted it from (now that his primary focus in life was no longer around) was Sakura. Why..? He wasn't sure. The only obstacle he was to getting that resided a few doors down the hall: one Uzumaki Naruto.
Something caught his attention, glittering in his peripheral vision. "Where did you get that?" He asked flatly, eying her necklace, already knowing he wouldn't like the answer.
