He chewed on his lower lip. What did he say to that? She was again insisting there'd been something other than malice between them, but he didn't remember that much of it. Everything he remembered of the blond were things in which he'd been in the way. "Fine. I wasn't going to say anything because it's a stupid idea, but... if it'll make you stop bringing that up, then I'll try to get along with him. Just don't expect me to be able to be in the same room with him if it's just the two of us. Otherwise, you'll be scraping someone off of the floor."
Crossing his arms, his gaze shifted to the door. Knowing that she cared so much for the blond made him feel more than a little uncomfortable when there was nothing but animosity between the boys (even if it was one-sided). "You know, maybe this was a bad idea," he muttered, reaching for the sword he'd set aside.
Leaving was always an option, though it was one he'd hoped that he wouldn't have to take so soon.
