As the minutes started to slip by, Sakura began to have her doubts. Sasuke was coming to see her but this time he did not have any requests for her help. He was just coming to... talk. How was she going to handle it? Would she even be able to without having something else to distract her if need be?
Oh, come on, it's not as if you've never actually spoken to him before.
Though that was true, things were different in the past.
Almost as if on cue, the light knocking at her door startled her out of her thoughts and she nervously stood up, habitually making sure her hair looked okay (something she could never really brush off over the years). It would be fine, she kept reminding herself. At this current stage she knew more about him than he did her so it wasn't like he could purposefully bring up some painful memories for the hell of it; as if he would anyway.
She opened the door soon after, smiling happily his way and ignoring the squirming in her stomach. "Hey! Come on in." A pause. "You brought a sword?"
