Who: Bridge Carson butteryranger, Schuldig themastermind What: Puppies and chatting and pseudoflirting and warnings. When: backdated to Tuesday afternoon [during Power Switch curse] Where: The park Warnings: None really
Bridge: *At the park, Bridge is sitting on a bench, looking up at the sky. He's clad in a red coat and gray pants, and his hands are bare, sitting on his knees. He's frowning* Schuldig: *Schu let go of the puppy while looking at something and it's running around barking like... a cute puppy, leash trailing; it runs up to Bridge and starts trying to hop up on the bench next to him* Bridge: *without even noticing who's got the leash* Aww, hey there! *Bridge tries to pet the puppy and give it kisses* Schuldig: Like dogs, do you? *stops a good few feet away from him* Bridge: *jumps, his hand immediately going for his blaster, looking up at the source of the voice* Schuldig: *grins, spreading his hands to show they're empty* I won't bite. Though I can't make promises for the pup. Bridge: *Bridge's face just falls into a sort of angry grimance* Get away from me. Schuldig: *raises an eyebrow, but takes a couple more steps back* Better? I will need the dog back at some point, though. Bridge: *takes his hands away from the dog* ...You probably don't even have powers, and I don't, but I"m not taking chances. Schuldig: Not the same ones, anyway... *grins* I'm sure you'll be happy to know that all I got was a giant inconvenience instead of some sort of superpower. Bridge: ...oh? The power to stop being a mean person, I hope? Schuldig: Oh come on now, what have I done that's mean? Bridge: Oh, tried to manipulate me. Schuldig: *shrugs* Already got my karma back on that one, it doesn't count. What else? Bridge: I can't think of anything, becuase after that time I've stayed as far away from you as I can. So what kind of power do you have now? Schuldig: I know, and it's such a shame. *sly smile* Want to see it? *without waiting for an answer, glances around, then moves under the shadow of a nearby tree; the blood-red aura starts glowing around him, negating the shadow* Looks pretty cool, huh? Hell to sleep with though. Bridge: Ooh. That's cool. Schuldig: Haven't seen that it does anything else. But enough about me... I gotta say, you make me curious. Why haven't you told people about what happened between us? Bridge: Becuase it's embarassing. *shrug* Schuldig: *blinks* Embarrassing? Bridge: I'm surprised you woudln't find it more embarassing than I did. But I acted like a fool. Schuldig: You did? Bridge: Yeah. I should have just removed you from the room. I shouldn't have shouted and threatened. *there's a dark glint in Bridge's eye...* Schuldig: Well, I don't remember that part so well... *lazy smile* So I'll have to take your word for it. Bridge: Although I have to warn you now, while we're all calm about it, and not yelling or screaming or crying or reading each other's minds... *Bridge's face goes stern* If you ever willfully get too close to me when you do have your powers, I'll shoot you. *smile* Schuldig: You didn't shoot me then. Bridge: But this time I warned you. I think that's fair. Schuldig: Hmm... well, you don't have to worry about me touching you ever again, that's for sure. *quick glance at Bridge's hands* Bridge: *they're ungloved, bare. They're pale and almost delicate-looking* Well, you need to stay at least a couple of arm's lengths away from me from now on. Except today, though! So if you want a hug or something, now would be the time. *smile* Schuldig: *obviously caught off-guard* If I what? Bridge: ...wanted a hug. *shrug* I didn't think you would. I wouldn't mind one though. Schuldig: I don't understand you. *watching him carefully, interestedly, almost fascinated* You're the only one here who doesn't fit. Bridge: ... What do you mean? I get through the doors okay. I'm not that tall. *smirk* Schuldig: *grins back* Hmm. A hug, was it? Well, if you won't shoot me over it, maybe I could... Bridge: It's okay. I'd rather hug a girl anyway. No offense. ..But waht did you mean, I don't fit? Schuldig: Nothing comes for free... *smirking now* Hug me and I might tell you. Bridge: *raises an eyebrow.* Oookay, *gives him a hug!* Schuldig: *hugs back, though keeps it strictly platonic* You're the only one who doesn't make sense. Everyone else... it's easy to see why they do what they do. But not you. That makes you very, very interesting... Bridge. Bridge: *Bridge's hug is childlike, clumsy. After a moment, he pulls back* Really? I thought my motivations were pretty straightforward. Schuldig: If they are, then you're a better actor than I gave you credit for, and that's also interesting. *doesn't move away again* Bridge: Huh? What do you mean? I do good things becuase it's what's right, I help people because itmakes them happy, I do everything else I do because I enjoy it. Isn't that obvious? Schuldig: But you haven't killed me even though you know what I am. Wouldn't that be a good thing to do? Bridge: It wouldn't be fair. Not until you do something. And besides... there's good in you. Schuldig: *laughs* Sure there is. Bridge: I never said how much, but it's there. Bridge: Bad guys are people too. Schuldig: Did you see that, or are you taking it on faith? *raises eyebrows* Bridge: A bit of both. *grin* A good friend of mine once worked for someone who was trying to destroy the world. Two, actually. What kind of person would I be if I treated bad people badly? Schuldig: Well, you did threaten to kill me just now if I so much as walked near you. So what does it make you? Bridge: ...Lawful good paladin with neutral leanings? *dark smirk* Schuldig: ...And that smile... it would look better on me, don't you think? Bridge: Yeah, but waht do I know about aesthetics? Schuldig: You seem to have a good enough eye for women. *playful smile* Bridge: *for just a second, his smirk fades, but he picks it back up* Yeah. I do. *smile* Schuldig: Didn't turn out, huh? Too bad. *no hint of sarcasm* Bridge: I decided her friendship was a lot more important to me than anything else. Schuldig: Hmm, well, maybe the ghosts will give you another chance at it later. Bridge: *nods* No sense worrying about it. This can't last much longer anyway, and I wouldn't want to be in the middle of something when it ended. Schuldig: That could be messy, couldn't it? *grins, melodramatically* I'm afraid it could never work between us, then! Bridge: *explodes in laughter* Schuldig: And you even laugh at my jokes... *shakes his head sadly* It's really too bad. Bridge: I'm afraid I don't like guys. And I'd tell you to get the surgery but... you can't have surgery on your mind. *he grins* You're pretty for a guy, though. Schuldig: Thanks... I think. *raises eyebrow* I'm afraid I don't like you quite enough for a sex change and a lobotomy, though. Maybe after we've known each other a bit longer. Bridge: *chuckle* Bridge: If I could clone myself and give you a Bridget, I would. Except that you'd do evil things to her and I"d have to kill you, so I wouldn't give you her in the first place Schuldig: Evil things? *smiles, leans down to pick up the puppy's leash as it runs past* No, I take care of what's mine. Bridge: That's good then. Schuldig: Though I'd be just as happy with a Bridge, you know. And there's another little secret of mine for you to keep. Bridge: *faint smile* Thanks, Schuldig. I'm flattered. *these's no shock or revulsion there* But I won't tell anyone. I know that this time period is kind of crappy about that stuff. Schuldig: So if the ghosts ever decide I need to be a powerless chick, I'll look you up, hmm? *laughing smile* Bridge: Heh. Maybe. Schuldig: Not likely though, hmm? Just as well, I like myself as I am. Bridge: You know, it makes me kind of sad, becuaes you're so nice, and yet you're so evil. IF not for the evil thing, we could probably be really good friends. *genuine frown* And no, I'm not going to give you the whole "you can change!" schtick. Not only do I know better, that'd be pretty rude. Schuldig: Yeah, it's too bad you found out about that little detail, isn't it? *tilts his head a little* I really wasn't going to do anything that night, you know. You were interesting even back then. Bridge: I don't like being manipulated though. You knew I was psychic. Why didn't you assume I'd trump you? Schuldig: I didn't know you did anything but see pretty colors. Bridge: The first rule of recon is that you always assume that in a show of any kind of force, you'll lose. Bridge: Well, that's not the real rule, but it's what I know, anyway. Schuldig: But I don't lose... well, usually. *grins* It'd been a while. Bridge: I've never had anyone to go up against. and I"m kind of glad I haven't. *shrug* Schuldig: Be glad, it's no fun. Though I don't know how much you saw, so you might already know that, huh? Bridge: No. Didn't get that. Schuldig: There's another thing that's interesting about you... you know more about me than anyone here, and yet you don't use it. Why? Bridge: Saving it for when I need it, of course. Bridge: *smile* Schuldig: *answering grin* Good enough. Bridge: If you keep your evil plans on the tame side, we can probalby be internet friends for the whole time we're both here. But if you start hurting innocent people, I will take you down. Bridge: I gotta get something to eat, though. See ya later, and thanks for letting me pet the puppy! *Bridge gets up and walks off*
