He straightens from his bow again and finds himself being watched by those intense crimson eyes. He'd swear that gaze is sharper, now, than it was before. More calculating. More... intense. Hmm... perhaps the hedgehog worries that he has become one of the bloodsuckers in the building? Oh... now there would be a fun little game to play, wouldn't it~?
The words, however, have him smirking, immediately. Soft and knowing and utterly pleased, eerie green eyes bright in the perpetual dim of his room. He chuckles, softly, tilting his head and watching Shadow with open amusement.
"Whether I displease you or not has no bearing upon the truths that I speak, Shadow. It never has. I do not lie to you~" he murmurs, softly, and then moves forward himself, having no real inkling of what's different, thinking the fact that he feels no difference in Shadow is because he is unchanged. Never realizing it is himself who's been altered.
"It saddens me that I displease you so, though, my other. I have only ever tried to show you things you deserve to know... give you chances you deserve to have~"
