It seemed that Sakura had not noticed as quickly as Naruto had, having been looking away, but once he stopped moving so abruptly, she did as well. Turning to face him, she noticed his stiff gaze. "Naruto?" At that point, she was too scared to turn back around, afraid that she knew just exactly what he was staring at. She hesitated, her eyes already widened as she looked behind her and immediately caught sight of that long, red hair that was so unmistakably Asuka's.
She could already feel tears stinging the back of her eyes but she did her best to hold them back, fiercely biting her lip to keep her from sobbing out loud, and promptly ran over to where her roommate was lying, dead. Still not having said a word, she dropped to her knees and felt for the girl's pulse, though it was clearly obvious from the bite marks and the pale complexion that she was gone.
And it was all her fault.
Squeezing her eyes shut, Sakura picked up Asuka's upper half and held her tightly, ready to get up and run back to their room where they would be safer... but she strength wasn't in her. Shuddering from keeping her emotions inside, she did her best to move on her own but it was turning out to be impossible. "N-Naruto! Help me already, you idiot!"
She didn't mean to be cruel to him but her frustration was defeating common sense at the moment.
