Naruto beamed some, ignoring the fact that she had subtly hinted at him being a bad present giver, and gave a very light shrug. "Eh, I was just walking and I saw it in one of those display window things and I thought 'Hey! Sakura-chan might like that!' and it wasn't too expensive so I figured, why not?" He left out the part where he had actually been searching for the perfect present for about three days straight, looking in each store and not finding anything suitable enough. He hadn't known what he was looking for exactly, but he knew he'd know when he found it.
