"Don't worry, I think I'm alright." For now, at least, but Near thought it wouldn't be a good idea to voice his thoughts. He wondered if he could ask Clark for another meal, perhaps tomorrow, but didn't think it would be a good idea. For Clark, at least; the loss of blood would be too great and he wouldn't survive if Near kept feeding on him. He would return to life after that, certainly, but the vampire didn't want to kill him.
But on the good side, the thirst had been pushed away and his thoughts were back to normal. Still, Near couldn't help being torn: he enjoyed having control over his thoughts and emotions, but what happened moments ago had felt very, very good.
He twirled at his hair, observing Clark carefully. He was still leaning against the closet, but didn't seem to be in any sort of pain. That was good. "You should sit down. It wouldn't be good if your blood pressure lowered enough to make you fall over," he said, twirling a strand of hair. "You should also eat food with a high percentage of iron, like red meat and certain vegetables. And you should also drink water to prevent dehydration."
