Poking her forehead suddenly almost made her jump and she blinked, eyes widened, and shifted her gaze toward him. That had been unexpected but it made her relax again, somehow. He began to speak about the marks on his body and she tilted her head a little to look at his neck before turning around again. She did not know what he meant exactly but it was logically easy to assume Orochimaru had taught him the Summoning Technique along the way. “Um… who is Manda?” She dared to ask.
His explanation was confusing to hear as she had no idea what he was speaking of. What fight had he gone through in order to be cornered so badly and use a jutsu like that? Could he have already finally found Itachi? The thought seemed impossible to her, though, at least so soon. If he had been fighting him before arriving here Sasuke would have been angrier, more frustrated, and probably more deadly than friendly. They must have never met… yet. “That sounds impressive. To learn a jutsu like that must have taken time,” she said seriously, moving her gaze in front of her again. “But there’s also the possibility that you’re okay, so I wouldn’t think on it too much. You’re… an excellent shinobi. I’m sure you survived.”
She let herself relax even more in her seat now even though sitting on the floor was usually uncomfortable when there were chairs and beds around as options. Strangely enough, she found herself agreeing with his statement, instinctively leaning into him as well without realizing it. Her head was propped against the mattress behind her and she closed her eyes temporarily. The logical part of her was screaming at her to go NOW or at least move before she got too comfortable, but the other side of Sakura knew it was too late. Why would she WANT to, at this point? It was nice. She never had anything nice like this, least of all with Sasuke. “Yeah… it really is.”
