Sakura wondered why it was becoming more difficult for Sasuke to remember someone as important as Naruto but he was able to recall the simplest details from other events. Then again, she would never truly understand the mysteries of this world, no matter how long she remained.
Those thoughts did not seem as important suddenly, though, as she felt Sasuke's hair brush her arm and the weight of his head leaned up against her. She felt a deep warmth in her chest and allowed him to stay that way, only feeling an annoying blush seep through her cheeks when his hand touched hers. "T-Thank you," she stuttered unexpectedly, giving a small cough to compose herself before continuing. "I would hope you would grow out of it. I know I did... considering I once felt no shame in professing my undying love for you nearly every chance I got." Remembering the now-embarrassing memory, she rolled her green eyes to herself and gave a small laugh. That really had been stupid. Quieting down, Sakura Stared at the markings on his arm and absent-mindedly stopped pouring healing chakra through her free hand. Instead, she used it to lighly touch the black curse marks. Every time she saw them she could not help but remember how he had been given the curse in the first place.
She removed her fingers and sat there with him against her, still looking at his arm. She followed it down to where his hand was resting on hers and felt at ease at the comfortable weight.
...No! No! She wasn't supposed to be feeling that anymore!
Breathing out a slightly nervous sigh, she tried to ignore it by speaking. "We can keep talking if it makes you feel better."
