Of all the possible people he could have been talking about, for some reason Sakura did not even consider that he would have mentioned his mother. She had never heard him speak of his family other than his desire to kill Itachi or reviving his clan. Other than that, he had never uttered a word of nostalgia of any shape or form, least of all to her. Even if they had been friends once, Sasuke had never been much of an open person.
She didn't say anything for a long time, only stared down to the foot in her hands sympathetically, a small smile gracing her lips as well. The thought of making that comparison was enough to have Sakura feel the need to cry, but she kept that emotion back, simply staying the way she was. She tried to imagine what their household must have been like back then, before everything went... to hell, basically.
"I would have liked to meet her, too," she replied quietly after some time.
