TARDIS-humping yay! [ Active ]
Who: The (Tenth) Doctor (alwaystobealone) and Captain Jack Harkness (coatswish)
What: Captain Jack arrives in Clockwork and spots something familiar.
When: ...Now?
Where: Outside the TARDIS in a fourth-floor corridor
Warnings: Um... TARDIS-humping. And possible tiemhugs later.
Jack wasn't any stranger to random temporal shifts. Having one begin right in the middle of the Hub, though? That was probably a first.
It had dumped him in a hotel room. As hotel rooms went, it hadn't been amazing. Well, at least not as messy as what he was used to, and there had been what appeared to be a lock on the door, which Jack made a mental note of (just for future reference, of course). Other than that, there was a closet, a primitive-looking computer, and... no coffee machine. Ianto would go berserk. Speaking of which, neither he nor any of the others seemed to be around. That seemed a little unfair.
He had to follow the usual Torchwood protocol when arriving in an unknown time or place, obviously. Rules and regulations. But it couldn't hurt to soak up a bit of atmosphere first. And that's what he'd been doing, right up until he'd swished his way down the corridor (not deliberately, that was just the way he always walked) and nearly collided with a blue police box.
Jack paused. Of course, if the TARDIS was here, that meant that wherever that temporal shift had dumped him was actually interesting - why would it come here otherwise? And that was pretty relieving, but suddenly he had more important things on his mind.
He walked right up to the door and leaned in close. Anybody going past would have got entirely the wrong impression (okay, he could have just unlocked the door, but Jack was nothing if not the king of awkward imagery). They would also have been temporarily deafened, thanks to what he shouted next.
"DOCTOOOOOOR!"
