Why was he doing this again?... He wondered walking down the street at night on his way to the fountain. Why did he have to choose that place from all others? He didn't want to face Light at all, not after the big rambling journal of his. He felt so stupid; he even had to delete it, but what for if Light had already read it?... Still he was walking on his way to meet him in over the place where that curse made them believe they had actually met and fell in love.
After that curse, he felt empty, he didn't know what was wrong, even if all of what had happened was fake in a way, it was as if he was missing something. He kept thinking over it for days, until it hit him. He had never been so much in love with anyone, of course he had been in love, but never in that level. Still if it was fake during those days, he could remember how it felt like and he missed the feeling terribly, as it has been a nearly unknown experience for him. But then... was he only missing that feeling?... no, he knew was missing the person who made him feel that way. Deep inside him he knew it was wrong, Tifa... she was waiting for him back at home, wasn't she? He would have given anything for her, of course, because he loved her... right? He was only getting desperate at it all, and he gave up on caring about who knew how he was feeling, he wasn't expecting Light would simply appear the next day. Who was he to know he would come back like that anyway?
It was a cool windy evening; he pulled up the zipper of his shirt from his collarbone all the way up to cover his neck. It had been one of those weird times that the closed had given him a warm long sleeved shirt, so he was able to stay warm after the weird change of weather of the past day. He checked the hour over his non-so-useful cell phone and sighed, 19:40, it was too early for Light to be where they had agreed, but he just could not stay on his room any longer, walking around it like a caged animal. When he made it to the fountain, he made sure he was alone and without looking into the water, simply sat over the edge with his arms over his lap. It just made him feel a bit colder than he already was, as the running water spilled little cold drops over his back and hair every time the wind changed into his direction. He took out his cell phone, pressing the buttons without really caring about what he was doing, waiting for the other to arrive.
