Edward smiled and gave Alphonse's hand another squeeze, standing and kissing the top of his head before turning to face the door again. Of course it would be just like this place to give him a little taste of the perfect life he'd almost had just to tear it away again; and in front of his little brother, no less so that the younger boy could think he'd just gone insane. He walked over to the door, though and opened it, peeking out and . . . she was still there. Thank the god he'd stopped believing in long ago, she was actually still there!
He smiled at her and opened the door, stepping aside so that she could come in, and looked over at Alphonse, wanting to see the look on his face. They could finally be a family again . . .
