"I know I could take you down," he announced, a mischievous glint in his gold feline-esque eyes all the while, "but unlike the masses I also know you've got it in you to kick me to the curb as well. If you put your mind to it, that is." the brunette concluded with a light nod. Giving a bit of a shrug he glanced away for a moment and forced a sigh, faking disappointment at himself for all the fact that it had drawn a reaction from the shark made it a win in his eyes. "I don't know, it just sort of came out.."
"I stink of it?" Akira asked, almost sounding genuinely shocked or concerned for a moment, though as far as he was concerned it was put on. Really. Mind you, he had to think better of making any quips about how much they had or hadn't done in relation to Agito's underhand comment, save any further back-biting on the matter. "You're good to take pity, little fishy; I'd feel terrible if I forced you to stay with me to hold the box of tissues." he droned in a painfully sarcastic manner. Mello.. hadn't been something Akira had particularly regretted. It was weird, sure, but he couldn't feel bad for it. It wasn't like he'd gone out and done it of his own volition-- well, okay, he had but only because the curse of the moment had messed with his head. Any other day of the week and he was sure as hell he wouldn't have done it, not with Mello of all people and most definitely not to Ren. Whether he had or hadn't seen her since Behemoth had disbanded he wasn't like that and he never planned to waste what he had with her, something he'd lost and put so much on the line for, just to have some shits and giggles with someone he'd never even met before. This place was solely to blame.
"Agito," Akira started, a rather sympathetic expression present on his features, "I've always been cocky." and with that he considered the matter concluded and thus disregarded the fair warning Agito had given him. He got along perfectly fine the way he was and he'd always been watching his step, so to speak, something that had been amplified during his time as the head of Behemoth. He didn't need to tone anything down, if he got into trouble he was perfectly capable of handling himself, surely the fang king knew that.
Giving an amused snort at that he rolled his eyes. "I'm not bo~ring, Agito, just trying to help you keep your eye on the metaphorical ball." he added with a grin before Agito let him go and moved away. Brushing his nose idly with the back of his hand he half-bounded off after his counterpart, not having to make much effort to fall into step beside him once more. "Yeah, I figured you'd say that. I'm heart-broken, really."
