It had been a peaceful evening, certainly more comforting than the nights she had spent in her room for the past week with her newly given room mate. Asuka had begun to grow on Sakura, but there was still something off about her... or perhaps Sakura was just bitter that she had to share her personal space with a stranger, when she had been alone for seven months...
None of that mattered at the moment, though, as the new day began and she was already beginning to wake slowly from her dreamless slumber. Without even opening her eyes she was feeling the warmth of the bright sun from outside and could hear the deep, calming breathing of another person in the same room as she. Everything was quiet. It wasn't until she felt the warmth of anothers body press up against her that Sakura shifted slightly, grazing a bare leg across the mattress for a moment until bumping into another limb and not liking the cold patch that followed. She quickly returned her leg to her side and finally fluttered her eyes open, still slightly groggy.
She could have sworn for a split second that she was ready to jump out of the bed and scream, but that ridiculous thought had vanished just as quickly as it had come, immediately being forgotten. Seeing Akito all curled up against her was a wonderful way to wake up and she could not help herself from smiling like a fool.
"Akito-kun..." she said automatically, her voice soft from the annoyance of having to wake up. "Good morning." She had yet to see what was so important behind his shoulder, choosing to ignore it and just stare at him instead. Who cared, anyway? All she wanted to do was lay in bed with him like this for as long as possible.
