Russia had always been open to the customs of others. Bringing those others into his household would have been a chore otherwise, and assimilating them to his own way of life an even greater hurdle. He was tolerant, he was kind, allowing them their little habits, their little customs. All the more to make their stay in his household easier, more pleasant. All the more to show that he, too, could be kind, and considerate, and warm.
"You should enjoy experience," he said, warm smile and all, holding out a hand as if in invitation. "There is much to do here, is there not? Places to go." A widening of the smile, a glint in the pale, merry eye. "People to see."
