Hey, it wasn't his fault he'd only just arrived. Blame it on the powers that be.
For now, he was happy in the knowledge that his money was safe and just like he left it, building its interest and growing by the day. Since this wasn't the afterlife (at least, he was pretty sure it wasn't), he could be reunited with it at some point. Right? Right. Of course he could.
There was no need to bother looking up when the door creaked open, he already knew who the intruder was. Even if he hadn't been expecting the other, it was hard to miss that kind of aura he always had. That hand on his head, though, that had him moving to glare up at the boy, the visible part of his face set in the usual displeasure.
"I did not." Now, to tuck away his notes. "However, you've taken too long to arrive. You can expect an invoice sent for a late fee."
