The programming feels like chains around him, trying to make him do what others want him to. But his personality alone clashes off that, the Reaper hates doing things for others that don't benefit him in some way shape or form. Arms are folded across his chest, hands curling into fists. Stupid freaking programming...
Hearing picks up the sound of crunching, the sound he's begun to associate with someone walking through the snow. He tenses a little, but then takes a deep breath and calms himself down. He can still remember his promise to Nata, even though the programming code clashes off it badly. It's almost like a game of tug-of-war, with him as the rope. Or so he would think, if he knew of such things.
Wings flutter in agitation. His scythe's nowhere in sight but Soul can sense it waiting, just in case. He wouldn't put it past some of the residents to try to harm him, even though he knows now that the city folk don't bother with him unless he annoys them first.
He may as well see who it is who's approaching him. Has to be one of the residents, at any rate. The Reaper turns his head, blue eyes scanning around before landing on the man moving slowly towards him.
Jade.
Programming thrashes, darkness begging to be released and he forces it down, no change to his expression. The Reaper's attacked Jade three times, as well as harmed that little friend (pet?) of his, Akito. He's stopped himself from killing the man three times.
Soul's not sure he can manage a fourth.
Eye hidden behind goggles are watching warily. He's not sure what Jade's intentions are, and the last time they spoke the man was furious at him for attacking Akito. No, he's not sure what will happen. But it's doing nothing for his mood.
As the man draws closer, he eventually he decides to speak. "Jade," he says flatly, no hint of the game present. Programming or not, he enjoys a good game. But with the way the coding is begging to be released, he's not sure it's a wise move on his part. Soul doesn't want to kill the man. The problem is, the programming does.
