He didn't know whether to be happy or insulted by her words and expression. Considering that she had just told him that he had pretty much abandoned them in the past, he wouldn't have been surprised if it was an insult. If he were to say as much though, it could hurt any dealings they may encounter later down the road. After all of her talk about friends and bonds, though, it made him wonder what she had expected from him.

I extended the offer of a truce, so it's only fair that I lay my secrets out in the open." It was a dangerous thing to do when he didn't remember being on friendly terms with her... then again, he didn't recall being on unfriendly terms either. They had attacked him, but just because their villages were enemies didn't mean that they had to be.
