It was difficult for Sakura not to get so worked up over something she felt passionately about, least alone the situation with Sasuke. If Naruto had been around she probably would have kept her cool much easier for his sake, but after spending seven months away from the place she usually called home, she had nearly completely lost it.
When he crouched in front of her and actually touched her hand, though, Sakura flinched momentarily, having not expected to feel that sudden contact and found herself staring at him, blinking. A warm blush crept over her cheeks instinctively and she allowed her bangs to hide her embarrassment.
"I'm sorry," she said weakly. She knew better than to compare him even REMOTELY close to Itachi, and she hadn't meant to, but Sakura was finding this frustrating as well. "But... why don't you believe me? I wouldn't lie."
