Sasuke cocked his head and leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "I remember Orochimaru quite well, actually. He didn't put up much of a fight when I killed him, but he made a big mess when he died. As for my brother, we were searching for him when I wound up here."
He picked at the wrappings around his left arm as he took in the rest of her words. What she'd said was almost believable when taken with the curt precision she spoke in, however there was a part of her story that didn't match up to his, and it was nagging at him.
"If I was on a team like that, then why was it Orochimaru who trained me and not your sensei?" It didn't make sense to him. Why would she go through the trouble to tell him that and leave out details that would've made it more plausible unless the entire story was a heavily fabricated lie? If they'd been friends, then why would her team have attacked him like they had?
