All he could do was run, his mind was blank, something unusual on him, he just didn't want to think too much about it, and let basic hunting instincts take over him.
Just less than an hour before he only had one thought, he had to find her, not matter what it would take, he had to. But then Luki had the bad luck to cross her path with the person he loved the most, and not only that, she had hurt her, badly, and now, he couldn't make up his mind.
What would he do when he find her? He knew it wasn't her fault, but he could feel the rage deep inside him, boiling at the thought of Luki stabbing Tifa, and then he couldn't feel nothing but sorrow for the little girl.
It hurt, way too much, to listen her in that insane state, he had to help her, because even if any of them cared for him, he did care for them, a lot.
Running up the stairs the arrived to a floor that must likely he had never been on. The lack of proper lighting on the corridor made him realize it was an empty floor, must likely. He wasn't exactly afraid, but he was hoping that Vash could hurry to call him telling him he had found her, instead of him having to venture into a creepy floor trying to find a psycho little girl...
Either way, he walked down the corridor, trying not to make a sound, and being the skilled ex-SOLDIER he was, or that he had thought he was for some time, he was achieving it. Just a few steps more and he could listen something familiar, little breaths. He tried to listen further just when a heartbreaking cry was heard.
It was her, who else could have so much pain inside to let out such sound? Without thinking it twice, not even to call Vash to back him up, he walked quickly, towards the sound.
