Everything and nothing all of it matters in the end but to hear the same constant phase over and over again started to remind him of home. Useless, not good enough, go get coffee, go do this errand, always the lousiest jobs that anyone could get. Deal with it; it’s what you’re suppose to do. He had dealt with pretty much everything from his world and now here just made it more frustrating. He didn’t have anyone to really go to talk to about any of his encounters and anything more with any kind of issue between the Riders and this place. Matsuda wasn’t going to stop Sora unless someone ended up getting killed because of this whole mess. The man knew it would be pointless to get involved but he’d at least would like how everything worked to get a better idea of what Sora’s main goal truly was. How hard was it to explain anything? At least he got something from the younger Sora, though it didn’t help much and he had been surprised that he said anything at all.
Just proves the point that people from different times are different from those in the future. He sighed as he shoved his hands into the coat pockets. The chilly air had been welcoming and somewhat soothing. Even though he had been traveling back and forth from between hotel and the agency he had set up for Neuro, it was about time that he just give up on everything. It wasn’t a good mind set at all but what other possible dangers could he get himself into. Being threatened by a brain eater demon all the time wasn’t helping his nerves at all. For that matter staying alive was the main priory right now. What was he to Sora anyway? Now having found out that Sora did have a girlfriend back in his home world, and Nike claiming him to be his. Where did he belong? Always the background that is trying to fit in.
The man came to a stop, he wasn’t sure how long he had been walking for but he knew he was close to where the agency would be. The fountain had been right in front of him and the view from the top of the building showed the fountain and a bit of the hotel from a far. Matsuda glanced down into the water of the fountain; he had heard stories of how it would show you people from your world. Maybe he was just homesick and started missing everyone, especially Chief Yagami. How much he would give to have some kind of advice right now. Looking and searching a couple of images came up, but as soon as one started to form the detective looked away. Not now, maybe later he’d look into it but seeing them now would not help. He sat down on an edge looking up into the sky. A distraction would be nice right about now.
